Cathi Carr won awards while working at the Gainesville Sun for coverage based on the tenure of former Alachua County Superintendent Lawrence Marazza, who resigned his position after an investigation into his treament of a female subordinate, and the Sidney Lanier Center, which serves Alachua County's most profoundly disabled students, yet was not compliant with the Americans for Disabilities Act.
